News: Montblanc 4810 ExoTourbillon Slim
Making use of Montblanc’s new in-house calibre MB 29.21, the piece—as the name would suggest—has an elegantly thin profile due to the movement’s micro rotor, which allows for a slimmer construction while not hindering performance.
Just above 6 o’clock sits Montblanc’s patented ‘ExoTourbillon’, where you can admire the rhythmic spin of the balance wheel, which sits outside of the rotating cage. As well as enabling the cage to be smaller, the ExoTourbillon also delivers improved timekeeping as the balance wheel is not hindered by the cage’s inertia. A clever stop-seconds function, which allows for the setting of time precise to the second, is featured at 3 o’clock,
The watch’s 42mm rose gold case has a slim 10.14mm thickness, and houses a beautiful silvery-white dial with an exploding star guilloché pattern across the top half of the face. The tourbillon, meanwhile, is surrounded by stately Geneva Stripes.
